What do snails eat?

Snails generally tend to eat various living or decaying plants and other suitable vegetation. They also have the ability to chew on soft fruits and young succulent plant barks by using something called a radula, which is found in their mouth and is used for grinding up the food. The radula is like a rough, file-like tongue which holds tiny rows of teeth, which helps the snail to scrape off leaves and flowers to eat. Shockingly, but honestly, snails also have the ability to gnaw through limestone. Farmers often get angry at snails because they can cause serious damage to their lots of plants and crops.

If you are keeping a snail at home, or plan on doing so. You can feed it with any good greens such as lettace or cabbage. They’d also enjoy a little brockley, and a little piece of apple.
